Implant rehabilitation is a treatment measured in years, not a day. Offers look alike on paper and differ greatly in what happens afterwards. These questions help you compare — and you are welcome to ask us the same.
The questions
| # | Question | A good answer sounds like |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Who places the implants and who builds the restoration? | The same doctor, or two doctors planning together on the same file |
| 2 | Is it planned on CT with a surgical guide? | Yes, and you see the plan beforehand |
| 3 | What exactly is included in the price? | CT, guide, implants, provisional bridge, check-ups, permanent bridge, night guard — in writing |
| 4 | What is the permanent bridge made of? | Zirconia / hybrid — with an explanation of why it suits you |
| 5 | How many implants and why? | A number derived from the bone and the jaw, not from a package |
| 6 | What happens if stability is insufficient on the day? | We switch to the delayed protocol; there is a plan B |
| 7 | Which implants (manufacturer), and where are the parts in 10 years? | An established manufacturer, an implant passport, available components |
| 8 | How many check-ups are there and who does them? | One week, one month, 3 months, yearly — the same doctor |
| 9 | What is the warranty and what are its conditions? | In writing, with check-up and hygiene conditions |
| 10 | Can I see your cases, not stock photos? | Yes, with patient consent |
Question 11, which is not asked enough
“What would you recommend if you were in my place?” A good doctor will also tell you what they would not do — for example, that an overdenture on two implants would give you 90% of the benefit at 40% of the price, if that is your situation. If every offer ends with the most expensive solution, ask why.
